A Day in Marlow

The end of exams and the start of a 4 month summer means a lot of brunch over the next few weeks, and one place that is sure to deliver on the brunch is Fego Cafe in Marlow.
My sister and I ventured there this morning to satisfy our cravings, and it certainly didn't disappoint.

I was torn between the spicy scrambled eggs and the mediterranean brunch, but went for the eggs in the end. The last time I went, I opted for the french toast with bacon and maple syrup, but fancied something a little healthier this time!

The smoothies and milkshakes all sounded so yummy, so I went for the 'Pash 'n' Shoot' smoothie, a blend of passionfruit, mango, pineapple and orange juice. I did expect it to be slightly more tropical, but it was still delicious. Definitely something I would like to start every day with!

The spicy scrambled eggs certainly lived up to my expectations- a mix of egg, spinach, jalopenos, red onion, avocado and tomato, topped with feta cheese and rocket. This was all piled on to poppy and rye sourdough bread, and there was an option of adding bacon to the dish. Seriously tasty and very filling!

Millie and I then ventured out into the town of Marlow to have a poke round some of the shops and stroll along the riverside. Marlow is a seriously nice place to meander and spend a lazy day, and has the bonus of having a Waitrose there, which is always a plus!

Gorgeous boutiques line the streets, full of trinkets and one-off pieces that may or may not be slightly expensive...

The high street was still looking markedly festive from the Regatta last weekend, an annual event that calls for buckets of champagne, Pimms and good reason to buy a new dress.

My entire outfit is from Topshop which is a happy coincidence, with sunglasses from ASOS and bag from H&M.

If you're ever in the Buckinghamshire area, take some time to visit Marlow and pop in for a good brunch at Fego. It's well worth it, I promise!
